Birth Doula | Monitrice | Postpartum Doula

A doula is an individual who serves and supports women in labor and their birth partners and families with emotional and physical aspects of childbirth, prior to labor, during labor and postpartum.  A monitrice does the same but has advanced skill training to include maternal and fetal monitoring, cervical exams and body balancing.  I have worked as a birth doula for the past 15 years supporting families all over the world. 

Currently my midwifery work and families are keeping my schedule full, so I am only able to occasionally offer monitrice services. My monitrice focus is for families who desire unmedicated births but for various reasons are not candidates for out of hospital birth. 

My monitrice care is 2 prenatal visits, 2 postpartum visits, birth support & placenta encapsulation.

My monitrice fee is $4,000 for clients who are within 30 miles of Oceanside.

I also offer prenatal care and postpartum care in the comfort of your own home or my office if you desire a hospital birth but would like to utilize the midwifery model of care. The fee for this varies.
